The Troy Boys are a rock group out of Ithaca, New York that revitalizes the sounds of the late 1960s and early 1970s through their emotional musical performances, lush atmospheres, self-reflective lyrics, and electric energy. The band’s debut album, Head-shaped Sunrise, was released in September 2020.

When the members of The Troy Boys first met on their shared floor of an Ithaca College dorm tower, they had no intention of starting a music group. They found they shared a passion for music, but it was only when they moved into a house on legendary Troy Road that their infatuation with bands such as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and the Zombies led them to establish The Troy Boys. The friends found themselves with instruments in their hands, passionately playing music with their unique take on psychedelic pop/rock.

The band’s music draws influence from the album-oriented rock era of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Throughout the Troy Boys' music, one can taste flavors of art rock, dream pop, psychedelic rock, and progressive rock -- culminating in a style that is uniquely their own.

The group has played at various venues throughout the city of Ithaca and Syracuse, filling shows with both electric energy and meaningful introspection with their diverse repertoire of original music. The Troy Boys' debut album, Head-shaped Sunrise, was released in September 2020.
